Smart use of AI starts with strong teaching
Ed3 is a nonprofit whose pedagogy-first AI courses have supported more than 20,000 educator enrollments. Starting today, Ed3 courses are available to teachers directly through ETS's Praxis® program, the leading provider of teacher licensure assessments. For many teachers, Praxis is the exam that opened the classroom door. Now it's also providing a key step on their professional learning journey in support of renewing a license, growing in their practice, and advancing on the salary schedule.
What teachers can take
Teachers can choose from self-paced online courses of 6.25 hours each. The courses help teachers thoughtfully integrate AI into the following practices: Restorative Classroom Management, Social Emotional Learning, Design Thinking, Media Literacy and Critical Thinking, and Support for Neurodivergent Learners. Teachers can also take an AI Foundations course, which covers the core concepts for teachers who are just starting to engage with AI. In every course, teachers learn how AI works by using it within research-backed pedagogies. Along the way, they complete practical activities that produce materials they can use in their own classrooms right away.
Every course includes a certificate teachers can submit for PD hours toward license renewal. Each course is also eligible for 0.5 graduate semester credits through the University of San Diego, so two courses equal one full graduate credit.
"For most teachers, Praxis has kickstarted their career. We want to be there for what comes next, which is why we’re excited about partnering with Ed3. Ed3's courses help teachers develop their skillset with AI through the teaching practices they use every day, while earning credit toward license renewal and career advancement," said Vinay Ganti, Head of Partnerships, K-12 Solutions at ETS.

Praxis beyond the exam
ETS's Praxis program has been expanding its support for educators around AI. In 2026, ProEthica® added a module on the ethical use of AI, and ETS launched Praxis Foundations, which includes the Adapt AI Assessment for measuring educators' AI literacy. Ed3's courses add professional learning for teachers once they're in the classroom.
Why the pedagogy-first approach
Six in 10 teachers now use AI in their work, yet a 2026 Walton Family Foundation and Gallup study found that only 18% have received formal guidance from their schools on how to use it. Ed3's courses help fill that gap by building AI skills into the work teachers do with students every day. Across more than 10,000 end-of-course surveys, 94% of teachers say their instruction has changed or will change as a result.
"In the age of AI, it's not the toolset that matters, it's the mindset. The teachers who thrive tend to be the ones who keep investing in their own judgment and practices, and they're the teachers students remember. Through Praxis, we can meet teachers at the start of that journey and nurture their human advantage"," said Vriti Saraf, founder and CEO of Ed3.
